Martín Burguez & His Rhythm Combo presents it’s new show, featuring Rhythm & Blues classics as well as original songs strongly influenced by the swinging music of the 40s and 50s.Led by singer and guitarist Martín Burguez, the sextet includes some of the top musicians of the Rhythm & Blues music scene in Barcelona: Oriol Fontanals on the double bass, Arnau Julià on drums, Pere Miró on baritone sax, Arnaud Desprez on tenor sax and Alberto Burguez on piano; a band suffused with both tradition and youth that guarantees an adrenaline-filled show.
The band’s influences range from classic Rhythm & Blues artists such as Big Joe Turner, Nappy Brown, Chuck Willis and Tiny Bradshaw to Jump Blues guitar greats BB King, T-Bone Walker, Pee Wee Crayton and Johnny “Guitar” Watson. With original songs and arrangements, Martín Burguez & His Rhythm Combo put on a show that reflects the aesthetics of the 40s and 50s while immersing the audience in a completely new musical experience.

Their rhythm ensemble, consisting of talented musicians, captures the essence and energy of classic Swing, creating an ideal atmosphere for dancers and music enthusiasts. From lively rhythms to smooth melodies, their repertoire is carefully selected to inspire Lindy Hop dancers to excel on the dance floor. An explosion of Swing, capturing the essence of the fiery nights at the Savoy Ballroom. The group is led by the eloquent guitarist and singer Martín Burguez, who, with his Gibson ES 150, pays homage to the sound of Charlie Christian, dazzling with elegant solos and fluid style, reminiscent of the contagious rhythms that moved crowds.
Alberto Burguez, a master of the piano, offers improvisations that echo the energetic steps of Lindy Hop and Charleston, taking the audience on a whirlwind of captivating melodies and bouncy rhythms.
Saxophonists Arnaud Desprez (tenor sax) and Père Miro (baritone sax) weave harmonies reminiscent of the vibrant nights at the Savoy, where each note seemed an invitation to dance. Their musical exchanges are a dynamic dialogue, an invitation to be swept away by the music.
